Goodbyes

I'm spending time this week packing my stuff up, picking up the last-minute purchases and saying good-bye to all of my friends here. It's great getting around and seeing my friends, but it definitely is difficult to say goodbye. I'm hoping to be back as soon as possible even if it's just for a week or so, but leaving is still difficult. These are people that I've grown close to and it's really weird to think that it's quite possible that I may never see some of them again. I know that part of that is the nature of the work I'm doing, but it's not something I'm particularly happy about. I love the idea that's so prevalent here that you build a friendship with people that you work with.
