A Crazy Meeting

This morning Paul, Laura, and I went with Doctor to meet with a church about 15 minutes away. There was some miscommunication on what exactly this meeting was all about. The pastors we met with thought it was about one thing, Doctor thought it was about something else, and I honestly didn't know what it was going to be about. After I gave an overview of Vox and the work we're doing, the pastor stopped me and said that he wasn't prepared for this meeting because he thought we were there for something else. There was an event planned by an organization associated with the church that the church knew nothing about and he thought we were there to talk about that.
Once the confusion settled, we were able to have a great conversation and the pastor is looking forward to working with us in the future. A meeting that I wasn't sure about turned into a great meeting. The pastor asked many questions that highlighted some of our core values and it was clear that we are thinking on the same wavelength when it comes to ministry.
